If you send your students out to buy only one book this year, make it one of these ... they're must buysfor any elementary cello student. All of the arrangements are good, many outstandingly so. Music Teacher ...well presented and an excellent concept to help children become more aware of differing periods of music and the consequent interpretations. ESTA The well-presented volumes would be useful in the teaching studio, from approximately Grade 1 through to 6, providing extra list exam pieces, or to play for fun and additional study. Stringendo

ZERO STARS! BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE!

The syllabus has recently changed, and there are all or mostly all new works required for the cello exams.
I received books from the prior syllabus which are now pretty much useless and a huge waste of money.
As it is, you will spend a lot of you g this route (ABRSM). I didn't really need old and worthless books on top of that.
Otherwise it is an excellent system. Lots of rules, but that is life if you want to be a success at anything.

It looks fine as far as music goes, but Amazon needs to update the description so it's accurate. No piano part.
