The Bible clearly presents the doctrine of Jesus Christ returning to catch the saints home to Heaven; what is known as the Rapture. But because of certain passages in the transitional books of the New Testament (Matthew, Acts, and Hebrews), there is confusion as to whether the Rapture is before the Tribulation (pre), during the Tribulation (mid), or at the end of the Tribulation (post). In this work, Dr. Ruckman shows clearly that there is not just one, but two Raptures: one for the Church, the Body of Christ, and one for Jews in the Tribulation. The passages for each are examined and the distinctions and criteria for the two are given.

Highly recommended

This is one of the best little books on eschatology you can get. It cleared up so many things for me on the subject of the Rapture. In my opinion, it should be required reading in every Bible college and seminary.

Great work expounding the chronology of the rapture(s)
By James May
The word rapture is, of course, not in the Bible but is applied to an event well known in Christendom. For the sake of clarity in this review I define it as a literal, physical transformation and catching up of the body and joining with the soul by the Lord. That definition is my own and may sound a little fast and loose to some. It works for me to grasp the concept of the rapture in this work.
At one time I was only aware of the impending rapture of the Church, but as can be seen in this work by Dr. Ruckman there are others. Specifically, there is another major rapture involving the tribulation saints and Israel. If you don't know what the Bible has to say about this phenomena, this booklet which is available in printed (from Bible Baptist Bookstore) and kindle format here on Amazon is the best place I know to start. As always, run the references in the AV 1611 or you will be completely lost; any edition of the KJV will do for this booklet.
In this work by Dr. Peter S. Ruckman you will find a treasure trove of Scripture references on the two major raptures which are placed in the proper chronological context to rightly divide the Word of Truth. The chronology alone is worth more than he charges.
Some Scriptural examples of raptures as defined above are:
1. Enoch, the 7th generation from Adam - Genesis 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. This event is mentioned in the New Testament - Hebrews 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. This rapture, as far as we know, had only Enoch.
2. Moses and Elijah - Revelation 11:11-12 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. 12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. Although only the 2 witnesses are enumerated in these 2 verses, it is possible (and probable) that others will arise at the same time.
3. The imminent rapture of the church is the next great event on God's calendar and heralds the rapid fulfillment of the multitude of prophecies describing Daniel's 70th week and the reign of Antichrist. I Corinthians 15:51-53 51 Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. I Thessalonians 4:14-18 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (go before) them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
4. The well known story of the valley of dry bones brought back to life in Ezekiel 37 are specifically defined as "the whole house of Israel". While the Scriptures do not say that these are "caught up" it certainly qualifies as a major resurrection and this booklet places this event squarely near the end of the great tribulation.
I have read this work about 3 times and made my own notes. At the very least you need to read it slowly, carefully and prayerfully and look up *all* the Scripture references. If you do that, I feel sure you will gain an insight you did not have before. Like all Dr. Ruckman's works there are occasional slams at the Bible critics. These criticisms are frequently justified, but I simply skim over them to glean the wealth of Bible knowledge; I do understand his feelings. I also find the absolute butchery of the Scriptures in the new age versions appalling. I have just accepted that until the Lord returns this blindness will be very pervasive. II Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; ... that time has come. If ever there was a generation which is ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth, this is that generation.
